Brief History of the School

Tai Solarin University of Education Secondary School was established by the Governing Council of the then Tai Solarin College of Education at its 22nd December, 1994 sitting.

The School, a co-educational institution was formally founded on 7th October, 1996, located at the Igbeba Campus of the University. It is established to provide secondary education to staff children and that of the general public. The curricular of the school cover both the sciences, liberal arts, vocational subjects and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as approved by the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC). The school prepares students for WASSCE, SSCE, NECO (Senior and Junior) and JAMB examinations.

The school which opened with just 8 students now has a population of over 800 students to boast of. Efforts are in top gear to prepare students for international examinations such as Cambridge University 0 and A levels examinations, ToFeL, SAT etc.
